This gothic desk lamp was a quick 3 day project while I was doing some apartment renovation. I wanted to create something timeless and etherial that also felt antique and worldly. The frame was sketched in illustrator and laser cut with tabs that would allow the pieces to slot together without an adhesive or nails. The pylons and pyramids were 3d printed and the metal pole was cut from metal- shop scrap. I wired it to run off AC current and installed a push button switch, and capped the bulb with a frosted glass cover.
